It’s Official! Our Very Own Adventure Gift Shop in Squamish, BC
A little note from Founder, Caro Arcila.
Opening our very own adventure gift shop in Squamish, BC, is without doubt a pinch-me moment.
I almost closed Treeline Collective in December 2023 due to the many hardships I faced. From increased production costs to many of us needing to pull back our spending, it was a heartbreaking moment after many years dedicated to Treeline’s mission. However, after sharing my story and being surrounded by such an incredible community, it not only became possible to keep the online doors open – but also turn my small but mighty business into a physical store where everyone is welcome.
For that, I would like to take a moment to say a huge thank you!
Not only is this an opportunity to grow our brand and support the artisans and entrepreneurs we co-create with, it also allows a platform for people to come together, learn about environmental issues and organize events, as well as share our stories and big picture ideas.
With such a challenging year that included the loss of my baby, a truly painful moment in my life. For anyone who has gone through a loss, I see you and my heart is with you. Yet, amongst all of the darkness, something beautiful happened, and I’m grateful to be able to reveal more details about our new, in-person location:
Who is the store for?
The products in our store are perfect for all the adventure-chasing gurlies you know. Think gorgeous jewelry and bathing suits alongside knives and camping-in-style essentials. The space itself has a cozy cabin feel designed to inspire outdoor explorations and help you carry a piece of nature with you wherever you go.
Our prices in the store range from $15 to $200. This means it’s possible for everyone to find a special gift for themselves or a loved one, whether you’re looking for the wow-factor or a small, meaningful keepsake.
If you’d like more information about Squamish, what we do, or initiatives you can get involved in right now, please come to say hello! I always love to chat and share my knowledge about the local area or enterprises that facilitate positive change for our people and planet.
What’s coming for Treeline Collective’s Adventure Gift Shop in Squamish?
So many things are coming! Not only do we have a new bathing suit line about to launch (sign up to our newsletter to stay in the loop!), you’ll also be able to find products from other small, local and international entrepreneurs that align with our values: ethical consumption, sustainability, and environmental conservation. With so many skilled and capable entrepreneurs all over the world with no access to international markets, it’s an honour to be able to support them through Treeline Collective!
Right now at the store, we have a mixture of Treeline’s silver jewelry, adventure blankets, swimwear, and nature-inspired mementos alongside other local art, jewelry, and one-of-a-kind camping accessories.
1% of all sales will go towards 1% for the Planet, and we’ll also be combining this with future community events like ocean cleanups, tree planting, and even weeknight get-togethers!
How is our store impacting the community of Squamish?
The store embodies more than a place to buy goods.
It’s a safe space to be authentically and unapologetically yourself. It’s a representation of my own journey as a Latina migrant refugee who’s had to work tirelessly to get to where I am today. It’s also a small business trying to break the mold and promote collaboration over competition, while also redefining what it means to be a woman in power.
My hope is that the store will inspire others to chase their dreams; to be a place where people can come together, feel welcome, and become a platform for change in the world.

What supporting our small business really means:
A purchase with Treeline Collective is a purchase towards a brighter future.
It’s saying I value what you’ve created to artisans around the world, I want to support our planet and the people with less access to equal opportunities, and I care deeply about where my money goes and the way my products have been produced.
It also helps me, Caro, continue my mission to promote co-creation rather than competition, and design products that encourage a deeper connection to the world around us.
In other words, supporting our business is a feel good, happy dance moment! Kinda’ like this one:
